Meet Ace, a 4-year-old male Toy Poodle.
Ace is a very nervous dog, who is now starting to come out of his shell, so therefore he will need an experienced owner who is used to dogs, as he is showing signs of resource guarding.
Ace is an active dog who enjoys his walk, which is helping his behaviour as he is more stimulated. Once Ace gains your trust, he does settle down and relax, but with new owners and people this will need working on (which his foster carer is working on and seeing improvement) – for this reason, Ace would suit living in a semi-rural environment, in a house with direct access to a garden (no flats please) away from the main hustle and bustle of a city.
As Ace isn’t used to sharing his home with another dog and can get jealous, we are looking for him to be the only pet in the home (no cats please), and Ace will need to be in an adult-only home (no children under 16 years) and someone who has experience with dogs showing aggression and resource guarding in the past.
