Edinburgh Marathon 2014 update
The Edinburgh Marathon takes place on 25th May, and with just over two weeks to go until the big day Chris is training very hard, whilst raising some much needed funds for All Dogs Matter – so far he has reached an amazing £435, with a target of £500.
We caught up with Chris to see how his training is going. Chris said: “I’ve been doing some hill training recently at Springfield Park as the Edinburgh Marathon is one of the hilliest courses in the UK. It’s been hard but I think it will definitely help come race day. I’ve got one last long run to do this weekend and I’m going to run at least 20 miles.”
He added: “My diet is consisting of a lot of carbs but I’ve also been trying to fit in fish and lots of vegetables when I can so that I’m taking in plenty of nutrients. It’s my birthday on Sunday so I may allow myself a treat over the weekend!”
We would like to say a BIG thank you to Chris for all of his hard work and dedication, and wish him lots of luck for the marathon!
