Appeal for Nutmeg
Shivering, frightened and alone, poor Nutmeg wasn’t expecting anyone to come and help her. It is difficult to know how long she had been trapped in brambles on an industrial estate and even harder to know whether she was going to survive. When we got the call, from a kind passerby who had spotted her, we had to act fast.
Fortunately our team leapt into action; we dispatched a volunteer to the site who worked with the passerby to disentangle Nutmeg and set her free from the painful brambles that were trapping her. You can watch their incredible efforts in the video below.
Nutmeg was rushed to the amazing vet team at Medivet Hendon who sedated her so her matted hair could be removed without causing any discomfort. After a full checkup, microchip and vaccination she was ready to be placed in a foster home to fully recover and get lots of much deserved love and care. Not wanting to part from this sweet girl, Nutmeg’s foster carers decided to adopt her and we couldn’t be happier for this sweet girl.
We’re just a few weeks into January and we are already seeing so many dogs like Nutmeg being abandoned and needing our help. Our dedicated team works around the clock to care for dogs in desperate need.
