The dogs that come into our care are either strays from local authority pounds or simply dogs whose owners no longer can or want to keep them. Unfortunately, there is a growing demand for rescue services in the current climate, as more and more unwanted dogs find themselves in need of new homes.
We have seen a significant rise in the number of elderly and ill dogs needing to be rehomed. Increasingly, popular breeds including Cockapoos, Pugs and French Bulldogs are traded multiple times online and end up in rescues centres when there is a medical issue which the owner is not prepared to deal with. All Dogs Matter often ends up footing the bill caused by irresponsible owners and breeders.
