Part time Kennels Assistant required for a busy charity kennels

All Dogs Matter is a charity working in and around London to transform the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs. We also rehome dogs in need from overseas.

Salary: £12.50 an hour

Part-time: 28 hours a week (including a Saturday or Sunday)

Essential Requirements

• Previous kennel experience and confidence in handling dogs of all breeds and behaviour
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Calm manner under pressure and good communication skills
• Positive attitude and caring approach to animal welfare
• An aptitude to work with all types of people
• Good level of physical fitness for a demanding role, please note this role is predominantly outdoors
• A full clean UK driver’s license (and must have own transport due to rural location)
• Two professional references which will be checked

Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, the responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

• Cleaning kennels and exercise areas
• Handling, walking and socialising dogs
• Dog enrichment
• Liaising with customers and volunteers
• Working as part of a team
• Other miscellaneous duties as required
