In December 2019, we received a call about a dog who needed to be rehomed after his owner sadly passed away.
Poor Joe, a 9-year-old Jack Russell Terrier cross, had been in a flat with his deceased owner and was found in a very distressed state. The family of the owner had contacted several charities who weren’t able to help rehome him.
That’s when we stepped in. We were able to arrange an emergency foster carer who looked after Joe until we found his perfect forever home a week later. Joe – now called Winston – is loving his new life and enjoys long walks and cuddles on the sofa.
